Frequently Asked Questions

Cannabidiol, also known as CBD, is 1 of 60 cannabinoids that were once thought to be exclusively sourced from the cannabis genus plant. CBD is a compound much like THC, but without any of the associated psychoactive effects. The source of CBDs popularity is it carries all the positive healing effects of marijuana, without the high.
Unlike CBD isolate, full spectrum blends include a wide range of compounds found in the marijuana plant, including a variety of essential vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, protein, chlorophyll, terpenes, flavonoids, and fiber. Studies suggest that full spectrum blends provide longer, more effective results due to what is known as the “Entourage Effect”
The Entourage Effect is what is believed to be the main reason behind the efficacy of whole plant extracts. There are over 100 ‘identified’ compounds in the cannabis plant. While most of these compounds have their own therapeutic benefit, they combine synergistically to provide a far better performance than any single compound, including THC and CBD.
That depends on the source. CBD extracted from marijuana is only legal in states with a medical or recreational marijuana program. CBD sourced from industrial hemp grown pursuant to the 2014 Farm Bill is legal in all 50 states.
US law classifies Industrial Hemp as Cannabis Genus plant grown pursuant to the 2014 Farm Bill with THC levels that do not exceed .3% in dry weight.
The CBD compound in and of itself is the same regardless of the source. What changes is the “entourage effect” due to differing levels of THC found in each byproduct.
CBD by itself can not get you high. It is wildly renowned for its healing properties without the associated psychoactive effects.
There are many different delivery methods to intake your CBD. It varies from inhalation (vaping or inhaler), topically (lotion or patch), ingestion (capsules, edibles or beverages)and even sublingually (tincture or extract under the tongue).
The fastest way to administer CBD is inhalation but it also has the shortest duration time.
Every user is different and its really dependent on your ailment and body chemistry. We recommend speaking a doctor to determine the appropriate dose to start with.
CBD comes in many edibles forms that are safe for ingestion.
There have been cases where drugs tests for users who have used CBD isolate have resulted in false positive for THC . There have also been cases where heavy use of full spectrum products over time have caused actual positive drug tests in users (due to a build up of trace amounts of THC). We recommend using any CBD products with caution if you’re concerned with failing any potential drug tests.
CBD in conjunction with other compounds may increase appetite but Cannabidiol alone will not cause a user to become hungry.
Hemp oil is generally used to classify whole hemp plant extracts or hemp flower extracts. Hemp oil is known for its abundance of naturally occuring cannabinoids and healing properties. Hemp seed oil is extracted solely from hemp seeds and generally only contains trace amounts of cannabinoids. Hemp seeds are high in protein and antioxidants and are a great addition to any healthy diet.
Yes and no. Marijuana derived CBD with THC levels under 5% is legal with with written consent from a practicing physician. Industrial Hemp derived CBD is legal in Virginia (and all other 50 states) as long as it was grown pursuant to the 2014 Farm Bill and does not exceed .3% THC. This distinction is CRUCIAL when determining the legality of your CBD products.
