What To Know Before You Try Delta-8

According to the National Institute of Health, there are more than 100 known cannabanoids including the two most well known, CBD and THC. One that you may have started hearing a lot more about lately is Delta-8-THC. Delta-8 is similiar to Delta-9-THC, yet Delta-8 is less potent and produces a smoother, milder high with many similar benefits to its better-known cousin, Delta-9-THC.
The National Cancer Institute defined Delta-8-THC as an analogue of THC that contains neuroprotective properties that can increase appetite and reduce nausea, anxiety and pain. It produces some psychotropic effects that are less potent than Delta-9, the primary form of THC found in cannabis.
To ensure you have the best experience and enjoy all the pain-relieving and therapeutic benefits of D8, here’s what you should know:

Start slow and with small doses.

Start with a small quantity of 5-10 mg to familiarize yourself with the effects. If you feel comfortable with a small amount, go slowly with increased increments until you determine your optimal dose.

Be in a safe and comfortable environment.

Since D8 affects people differently, we recommend trying it in an environment that is safe and comfortable.

Take with food.

Similar to other medications, it’s important not to take D8 on an empty stomach. Eat something in advance, especially if you are trying D8 edibles.

Do not drive or operate heavy machinery.

Due to the nature of D8 and it’s relaxing effects on some, we strongly advise against driving or operating heavy machinery while taking D8.
